AFTER CARE & CLEANING

CLEANING & REPROOFING SERVICE

Extend the life of covers with our professional wash and reproof service. Our technical fabric allows us to use a specialist cleaning technique which washes, re-proofs and applies and anti-bacterial treatment. The wash service is £10.50 per kg + shipping & VAT and normally takes 2-3 weeks. Please get in touch to arrange a clean.

REPAIRS

Wear and tear are inevitable. To help keep covers performing we are pleased to offer a repair service. We can fix most holes, tears, replace Velcro and inner liner. The cost for our repair service is £50 per hour + shipping & VAT (£25 + VAT minimum charge). We also offer replacement parts, like hooks, bungee etc, when required. TOP TIPS FOR YOUR COVERS

PACK AWAY DRY: Make sure covers are as clean and dry as possible before storing away in your Vertigo Bag provided.

KEEP COVERS OFF THE GROUND: Keep the covers dry, clean and as debris free as possible.

FRESH WATER & SOFT SPONGE: When cleaning yourself, do not use any detergents or household cleaners! We recommend fresh water and a gentle scrub with a soft sponge. For a technical clean, use our washing & reproofing service.

FOLLOW FITTING INSTRUCTIONS: Take a look at our How to fit Vertigo Covers videos on YouTube for the simplest and most efficient way of fitting & removing covers.

GENTLE HANDLING: Handle covers with care to prevent damage. Our covers are tough! But please try to avoid dragging or pulling covers forcefully.

CLEANING: We wouldn’t advise cleaning your covers too regularly. Once every couple of years is more than sufficient and won’t risk damaging the covers or affecting performance.

FAQs

MY AIRCRAFT IS WET!! ARE THESE COVERS WATERPROOF?

The answer is no, they are very intentionally not 100% waterproof as this would cause damage to the aircraft! Our covers are made from industry proven, technical fabrics which are WATER RESISTANT and most importantly BREATHABLE.

Breathable fabric allows air and moisture to pass through it. It is designed to promote airflow, wicking away moisture from the aircraft and releasing it into the surrounding atmosphere. This helps regulate temperature and prevent sweating, reducing the risk of an aircraft developing osmosis, rust, and corrosion.

You’ll most likely find the aircraft wet underneath covers first thing in the morning. This is caused by dew, and as the sun warms the air later in the day, the breathability of our covers aids the removal of moisture from the aircraft. Our covers are designed to strike a perfect balance between water resistance and breathability.
