Delivery & Returns

After an initial consultation, where we talk about your requirements and design a cover to suit, you will be issued with a quotation. On acceptance of our quotation, please let us know your full billing & delivery details so we can raise an invoice. This invoice will confirm all the items ordered, including any special features, colours, branding etc, so please do check it carefully for errors or mistakes.

To confirm the order and be added to the production list we must take a 50% deposit payment for UK based private individuals (Sales to overseas customers require payment in full upfront). Payment can be made via BACS, card (please call 01489 588342) or cheque.

All products are handmade in our UK factory. Delivery takes approx. 4-6 weeks from receipt of payment and depending on the time of year. We will try to give you our best estimate of when you can expect your order. If you require goods urgently, please do let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Please be aware if your cover is being shipped outside the UK you will be responsible for paying the customs duty & any additional taxes yourself via the courier. The courier will confirm the value with you once the cover has been received. Please consider this before placing your order.

We normally make glider covers in five separate sections – canopy, wings, fuselage, fin & tailplane - each of which join using high strength Velcro. There are various hooks, bungee & zips around the cover to keep it secured in place. We aim for a glove-like fit to minimise movement and extend the covers lifespan. My glider has non-standard features. Can you accommodate these?

What is the patterning / templating process?

To make a custom cover we need a template of the aircraft. During the manual templating process, we wrap the aircraft in a soft, malleable plastic to create a shell. From this the cover is born. Templating normally needs to take place in a sheltered environment, or on a still day outside.

We are also able to use a digital form of patterning. This involved scanning the plane, digitizing the outline and creating a cover pattern in CAD.
